40th Marmomacc in Verona

The next world fair
After Stone+tec 2005 and Carrara Marmotec, preparations are now in full swing for Marmomacc in Verona from September 29 - October 2, 2005.
Marmomacc, the world’s oldest and meanwhile biggest trade fair for the natural stone industry, takes place this year for the 40th time. The Veronese exhibition company organizing the event reported new records last year: 63,200 m² net display area (+2 % compared with 2003), 1,428 exhibitors from 48 countries (+3 %) and 61,774 trade visitors from 117 countries (+9.3 %). A similar number of exhibitors are expected at this year’s exhibition.
A survey of foreign trade visitors in 2004 revealed the following results:
92.6 % of those interviewed were very or quite satisfied with the products offered at Marmomacc.
90 % said they wanted to come to Verona again this year.
For almost 70 % of the visitors, Marmomacc is the most frequently visited trade fair in the past years, and only around 30 % mentioned another event. Veronafiere rated this as proof that its fair is clearly the number 1 international event and also one of the few events that can show a continuing upward trend for visitors.
29.6 % of the foreign companies interviewed believe the Far East is the market of the future for natural stone production.
25.4 % see Eastern Europe as the new production location, and only 13.2 % see Western Europe as the market of the future.
